|---|---|---|
| Newslettertyp (newsletter type) | Three options, none selected when the page opens | Choose the recipients |
| Platzhalter: (placeholders) | The nine placeholders you can use | Copy one into the title or text |
| Titel (title) and Inhalt (content) | The subject line and the body of the email | Write the newsletter |
| Newsletter senden | The send button | Send it |
Who receives which type
Section titled “Who receives which type”Every type goes only to active users of accounts that aren’t deleted. Each user gets their own email.
| Type | Who receives it |
|---|---|
| Accountinformationen (account information) | Users who receive account mails. That’s every user who came from comrce Hub, because the setting is on from the first sign-in. |
| Technischer Newsletter (technical newsletter) | Users with the technical newsletter switched on in the database |
| Allgemeiner Newsletter (general newsletter) | Users with the general newsletter switched on in the database |
No screen in the app switches the two newsletters on or off. Users from comrce Hub start with both off, so these types reach only users who had them switched on before.
Placeholders
Section titled “Placeholders”Each placeholder works in Titel and Inhalt. comrce cloudprint replaces it with the recipient’s value.
| Placeholder | Replaced with |
|---|---|
{usermail} | The recipient’s email address |
{firstname}, {lastname} | The recipient’s first and last name |
{companyname}, {accountname} | The account name, often the comrce Hub organization ID |
{vatid} | The account’s VAT ID |
{activationlink} | A link to activate the account from the old registration |
{invoicefirstname}, {invoicelastname} | The names in the account’s invoice address |
Example: take the title Wartung am 14.03.2026 für {companyname}. For Musterhandel GmbH it reads Wartung am 14.03.2026 für Musterhandel GmbH in the inbox. For an account that was never renamed, {companyname} gives the organization ID. So leave it out of messages to comrce Hub customers. A placeholder whose value is empty is replaced with nothing.
Send a newsletter
Section titled “Send a newsletter”- Under Newslettertyp, choose the type. Always choose one: with none chosen, the newsletter goes out as Technischer Newsletter.
- Write Titel. It becomes the subject line.
- Write Inhalt. Line breaks are kept.
- Select Newsletter senden.

Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Recipients
Section titled “Recipients”Who gets a newsletter of type Accountinformationen?
Section titled “Who gets a newsletter of type Accountinformationen?”Every active user of an account that isn’t deleted and who receives account mails. Account mails are on for every user who came from comrce Hub, so Accountinformationen reaches nearly all customers.
Why does a technical newsletter reach so few people?
Section titled “Why does a technical newsletter reach so few people?”Technischer Newsletter goes only to users with that newsletter switched on in the database. No screen in the app switches it on, and users from comrce Hub start with it off.
Can customers unsubscribe?
Section titled “Can customers unsubscribe?”Not in the app. No screen offers the newsletter settings. A customer who wants no more emails needs the developers to change the setting in the database.
Do deleted accounts get the newsletter?
Section titled “Do deleted accounts get the newsletter?”No. comrce cloudprint skips users of accounts marked as deleted. Inactive users and deleted users don’t get it either, whatever type you choose.
Writing
Section titled “Writing”Can I see a preview or send a test first?
Section titled “Can I see a preview or send a test first?”No. Newsletter versenden has no preview and no test send. Check the text and the placeholders on the form itself before you select Newsletter senden.
What does {companyname} show for a comrce Hub customer?
Section titled “What does {companyname} show for a comrce Hub customer?”The account name, which is the comrce Hub organization ID until the customer renames the account. Leave {companyname} and {accountname} out of newsletters to comrce Hub customers, or write the text so the ID doesn’t matter.
Is there a placeholder for the account number?
Section titled “Is there a placeholder for the account number?”Yes, {accountid} works although the list doesn’t show it. It becomes the account number from the column ID in Accounts.
Sending
Section titled “Sending”I selected Newsletter senden twice. Did customers get it twice?
Section titled “I selected Newsletter senden twice. Did customers get it twice?”Yes. Each click sends the newsletter to every recipient again, because the form keeps its content. Apologise with a second newsletter only if the duplicate matters.
What does the success message mean?
Section titled “What does the success message mean?”Der Newsletter wurde erfolgreich versendet. means comrce cloudprint queued one email per recipient. Delivery happens afterwards, so a single bounced address doesn’t show up here.
