Working with languages

A typo in a button label, or a new market that needs its own language? Under Languages you fix it without waiting for a release. You decide which languages the comrce Hub interface offers and which words it uses in each. Every language you add here appears in each user’s language selector under Settings.

The Languages screen of the comrce Hub admin console, opened from "Languages" at the bottom of the left sidebar; the tab and the heading both read "Translations". At the top right are the buttons "Update translations" and the highlighted "Add language". The table lists seven languages sorted by code with the columns Code, Display name, Updated date and Delete: de German, en English, es Spanish, fr French, it Italian and nl Dutch each show the date of their last import and an arrow button that opens the published file, while pl Polish shows a dash because no file has been imported for it yet.The Languages screen of the comrce Hub admin console, opened from "Languages" at the bottom of the left sidebar; the tab and the heading both read "Translations". Purpose
Shows what this area manages: the interface languages and their texts
  • The Languages screen: every language with its last import date. Add, import, open the published file or delete here.
  • Super Admin: sees Languages and can do everything here.
  • Every other role: sees no sidebar entry. A direct link shows You do not have permission to view this page..

You need nothing set up first. Untranslated texts show in English, so a half-finished language never shows empty buttons.
